From: "Justice for Mark Barnsley" barnsleycampaign@hotmail.com February 04, 2001 Mark Barnsley is no longer at HMP Frankland. He was moved at 5.30am on Thursday, February 1st, 2001. Mark is now at: HMP Wakefield, 5 Love Lane, Wakefield, WF2 9AG, England. This, Mark's 20th prison move can only be seen as a punishment move. Wakefield prison is certainly one of the worst places they could send him. At this point it's not known how long they intend to keep him there. At the moment he is still being kept in Segregation. HMP Wakefield run a very 'tight' regime: For example prisoners are not allowed anything through the mail except letters and up to 6 stamped envelopes. Publications have to be sent in directly from the publisher. Everything else, such as stationary, has to be bought within the prison. Thanks to everyone
who phoned, wrote to or faxed Frankland Prison and the Home Office over
the last few weeks. On leaving Frankland, Mark discovered that a large
amount of mail, including publications have been withheld from him there.
If you've written to Mark recently and not received a reply, this may explain
why. We should have more information soon.
